She creates relationals robots, but her artworks are not really about the machines themselves. Instead, they are about what becomes visible through them: relation, attention, fear, shame, curiosity, vulnerability, desire, intimacy, rhythm, and uncertainty. Animaspace began from discomfort with how we usually imagine technology, as machines that imitate us, machines that replace us, or intelligence entirely seperated from a body. Angelina is interested in another possibility: What if intelligence happens between us, through bodies, movement, space, hesitation, breath, and response? For her, the artwork is the encounter.
